These are photographs which I took at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia, as well as a few other places I have been over the years. There are also essays down below and links, on the right, to some of my published books and essays. Hope you enjoy them.

Just a test to see how to do this

What a wonderful site and what beautiful visual images! Some are very haunting, and speak volumes, even though no human beings are present. These scenes have their own character and emotion, in a way; even though the shots are of inanimate objects, or nature, like ice. When humans are shot, it is at the right moment..and the right expression is caught, for all time - as only the eye of a photographer can do. Bravo! And thank you! Amie from Staten Island, NY
Father James: I certainly enjoyed your insight on your life but I may be wrong but I think you have a wonderful spirtual nature. We have such a shortage of Priests but I also can understand the almost no stress that one could have in a monastery. Maybe I am wrong but I also think it is beautiful to give one's life in praying for people and it is such a cruel world out there that if you don't have family it can be pretty cold. You are in my prayers and you certainly could have become a photographer but God has you on the right path. Blessings to you always and the good monks who are dedicating their life to God. God bless you all.
