These are photographs which I took at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia, as well as a few other places I have been over the years. There are also essays down below and links, on the right, to some of my published books and essays. Hope you enjoy them.
What a perfect picture. This reminds me of the story of the two old men in the hospital - one with a bed next to a window. He looks out all day telling the other of the fine green grass, the flowers, the children laughing and playing in the park, etc. One day he dies. The other puts in a bid for the window-side bed so he can finally enjoy the view too. Once moved into place, he asks to have the blinds raised and looks out to find a brick wall. I've always loved this story because it's so true - we see only what we care to see.
Great image. Cripes, I need to come here more often. It really inspires me. Carol
