These are photographs which I took at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia, as well as a few other places I have been over the years. There are also essays down below and links, on the right, to some of my published books and essays. Hope you enjoy them.
The tabernacle is backlit in a way that reminds me of the Burning Bush. This is holy ground and God wishes to speak to me. Not only speak with me, but be in union with me, me in him and him in me. We consume each other. God incarnate within me and you. God is everywhere. Do you feel his loving caress in the breeze?
The tabernacle overshadows the altar and cross because it is Jesus' presence with us now, today, and always. Jesus is calling us. The tabernacle has a power to draw me to it and I cannot resist. I don't want to resist. I yearn for him and he answers me.
